2015 Business Membership Model Launches, Won Golden Innovator Award
CoThrive is constantly evolving. It began in February 2015 when founder Kathy Sipple decided she wanted to form longer lasting relationships with clients and community members she met and wished to connect to one another as well. With 30 years experience in sales and marketing, Sipple wished to empower small business owners and solopreneurs with conscious business missions to thrive. The model she chose was a membership model, charging a small fraction of her regular consulting rate, hoping to establish an amount that would be sustainable for both members and the community.
CoThrive was honored with a Golden Innovator Award from Barbara Marx Hubbard at Conscious Evolutionaries Chicagoland Wheel of Co-Creation Ceremony.
2016 Timebank Launches, Northwest Indiana Society of Innovators Induction
It was soon clear that members wanted to help each other, though there was often no budget to pay for one another's services. So many things that business owners are willing to offer for free in the name of marketing were able to be reclassified as timebank credit with the addition of the timebank: beta testers for a new online course could be credited in time; paid workshops could offer a limited number of spots to timebank members to attend for time credit; as non-business owners joined, business owners could also begin to exchange services with people outside the immediate business network.
2017 CoThrive Starts Thought Leadership Jam Sessions
Because we are always evolving and want to be aware of the very best ideas for working more collaboratively, we began hosting an online meet up each week at 7am that is open to all. Anyone who also joins the timebank is also welcome to join our forum where we continue to do "deep dives" on some of the topics explored during the sessions.
